Booking terms — Triad Math Tutor

Rates

Foundations (K–8): $50/hour, online or in person
High School (Algebra I – Precalculus): $60/hour, online or in person
Advanced (Calculus, Stats, College, SAT/ACT): $75/hour, online or in person
Hour packages: 5 hours save 5%, 10 hours save 10%.
Your rate is based on what you need help with. We may adjust it if your needs change; the new rate applies only to future purchases and bookings.

Tutoring is prepaid. Buying time adds credit to your account balance, worth the full hourly value of the hours you bought.
Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.

Each new family gets one free 30-minute session.
To claim it, you verify a card with Stripe. The card is not charged. Each card can claim only one free session.
The free session follows the same booking and cancellation rules below. If you cancel it at least 4 hours before it starts, you can book it again; after that, it's used up.

You can book any open time shown on the booking page — those are the hours our tutors have said they're available.
Sessions must be booked by the day before the session. Same-day booking isn't available.
When you book, the session price is taken from your balance (or your free session is used). If your balance doesn't cover it, you pay for it right then; we hold the time for you for 35 minutes while you do.
A booking is a request until a tutor confirms it. The tutor has until midnight at the end of the day before your session to confirm.
If it isn't confirmed by then, it's cancelled and fully refunded automatically. We'll email you either way.

Before the day of the session: you can cancel from your account for a full refund to your balance.
On the day of the session, at least 4 hours before it starts: your tutor has already reserved that time, so you get a 50% refund to your balance.
Less than 4 hours before the session starts: cancelling is not refunded.
Missed sessions (no-shows) are not refunded.
If we decline your request or have to cancel a confirmed session, you always get a full refund.
Refunds are returned to your account balance so you can book another session. For questions about your balance, please contact us.

Our public meetup spot is Glenn McNairy Branch Library, 4860 Lake Jeanette Rd, Greensboro, NC 27455 (map). Choose it when you book an in-person session.
You can ask to meet somewhere else instead (for example, your home); we'll confirm the place with you.

All times are Eastern Time (Greensboro, NC). "The day before" and "midnight" are in Eastern Time.
